Industrial Electrician | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical faults in manufacturing machinery and controls.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical components, wiring, and control panels.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for system modifications and repairs.
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motors, and sensors.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, national electrical codes, and company policies.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical certification.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems (up to 480V).
• Proficiency in PLC programming, diagnostics, and ladder logic (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience with motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Robotics maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) programming and optimization.
