Salary/Pay Rate : USD $80,000 to $156,000. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible new and external hires that meet the required qualifications and conditions. Relocation assistance may also be possible for an ideal candidate. Schedule : Full-time, 36-hour weeks on a night shift.

The Swedish First Hill campus in Seattle is a fast-paced medical facility that delivers more babies than any other hospital in Washington state. It also operates one of the few Level I through IV NICUs in the Northwest, providing care for more than 800 newborns annually. The Level IV NICU at Swedish First Hill is the largest in the state, with 75 beds. As a teaching facility, the hospital is committed to providing a continuous learning and professional development environment for its staff.
Job Description : As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized, world-class, and family-centered care to newborns. You'll use your expertise to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with an inter-professional team to optimize outcomes. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, advocating for ethical care, and facilitating a learning environment for patients, families, and other healthcare team members. You'll align your practice with safety and quality standards and engage in ongoing professional development to practice at the top of your license.

Preferred Skills : The ideal candidate will have a full year of experience in a Level IV NICU as a full-time RN. The facility's NICU is family-centered, and its goal is to provide a seamless transition home once a family is discharged. It is crucial that you possess strong communication skills, empathy, and critical thinking, as you will be making rapid, informed decisions in a high-stress environment. You should also be comfortable working with a variety of equipment and procedures, including ventilator management, blood product administration, and central/PICC lines.
