Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor (PRN as needed/on-call)

Location: Community-Based (within 1-hour physical response to assigned region)

UnityPoint Health is seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor you will provide on-site support and consultation to clients experiencing mental health crises in community or home settings. This role is vital in helping individuals achieve stability during critical moments.

Current openings & locations:

(1) Ft. Dodge IA - The shifts range from 7a-3p 3p-11p and 11p-7a daily. On call pay is $3.25 to be available.

Responsibilities

• Crisis Response (30%) : Deliver immediate intervention and support to clients in crisis at the location where the crisis is occurring
• Documentation (30%) : Complete all required data entry and documentation in accordance with agency policy.
• On-Call Availability (30%) : Be reachable by phone and ready to respond within a 1-hour radius coordinating with your on-call partner
• Compliance & Standards (10%) : Uphold UnityPoint Health values maintain required certifications and adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

Education:

Must meet one of the following:

• Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1
• Bachelors degree; or
• Associates degree; or
• High school diploma

Experience (based on education level noted above):

• Mental health professional: 1 year of mental health experience
• Bachelors in human services: 1 year
• Bachelors in non-human services: 2 years
• Associates degree: 2 years
• High school diploma: 2 years

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid drivers license and compliance with Eyerly Balls auto insurance policy
• Must pass criminal records and dependent adult/child abuse checks
