**Maintenance Electrician**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all electrical systems within the plant. The role involves conducting planned maintenance activities, troubleshooting and programming PLCs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and GMP standards. Candidates with a background in food manufacturing will find this role particularly suited to their skills.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, maintain, and operate all plant electrical systems, including switch gear, high/low voltage, drives, parts, and lighting.
+ Set up electronic equipment for scheduled production runs.
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic equipment such as wiring, scales, and metal detectors.
+ Troubleshoot and program PLCs and encoder systems, including wiring.
+ Conduct daily and weekly electrical preventive maintenance.
+ Fabricate custom electronic parts as needed.
+ Implement safety devices on production lines.
+ Complete required reports such as PM, Work Orders, and Centerline in English.
**Essential Skills**
+ Electrical troubleshooting to diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment.
+ Preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly and to minimize downtime.
+ Ability to run wiring and conduit for special projects or installations.
+ Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 1 year of electrical/electronic or related experience required.
+ PLC certification preferred.
+ Knowledge of plant safety, GMP standards, and confined spaces.
+ Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend instructions in English.
+ Knowledge of electronic testing equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and prints.
+ Ability to complete work and purchase requests.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakdale, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.17 - $40.17/hr.
