Job Description

About the Job:

Advanced Specialty Care, P.C. is seeking a Full-time Allergy/Extract Mixing Nurse (RN or LPN) to support our allergy department. This role involves preparing custom allergen extracts under sterile conditions, assisting with immunotherapy protocols, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare and accurately label custom allergen extracts based on physician orders.
  • Maintain aseptic technique while compounding extracts in a sterile environment.
  • Manage and track inventory of allergen extracts and related supplies.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mixing area and equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support patient immunotherapy.
  • Follow clinical and regulatory guidelines for documentation and safety procedures.
  • Administer immunotherapy injections accurately and efficiently.
  • Performs percutaneous and intradermal allergy skin testing and specialized testing accurately and efficiently.
  • documents emergency measures.
  • Performs nebulizer treatment and documents in EHR.
  • Patient education on the proper use of inhalers, EpiPens, and medications.

Skills:

  • Experience in allergy care, sterile compounding, or a clinical laboratory preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Active Connecticut RN or LPN license (required).
  • Active BLS Certification (required)
  • 1+ year experience 
  • Ability to follow precise protocols and documentation standards.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, detail-driven clinical environment.
  • Prior experience in allergy or immunotherapy settings a plus.
  • Must be able to identify and respond to emergencies and support approximately 50-100 pounds.
  • Training/Orientation at Danbury satellite office.

Schedule:

  • Full Time: Monday through Friday.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.


Salary based on experience.

Bonus offered : $2,000 after 6 months of employment; $2,000 after one year of employment.
