LaSalle Network has partnered with a fast-growing startup in the food and beverage CPG space, known for bringing innovative products to market and scaling rapidly across retail and digital channels. With strong early traction and an entrepreneurial culture, the company is now looking to bring on a strategic and hands-on VP, eCommerce Marketing to accelerate growth across its DTC and digital ecosystems.
The VP, eCommerce Marketing will own the full digital revenue engine for the brand, overseeing DTC site performance, customer acquisition, retention, paid media, and agency partnerships. This leader will build and execute the company’s eCommerce growth strategy, optimize cross-channel performance, and drive a best-in-class digital customer experience.
This is a critical leadership role for a startup-minded operator who can think strategically while rolling up their sleeves. The position is onsite 4 days per week in the Western Chicago suburbs.
Develop and own the end-to-end DTC eCommerce strategy, including acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value optimization.
Build and scale the digital marketing function, setting clear KPIs and growth goals.
Partner closely with founders, operations, finance, and product teams to align digital initiatives with broader business priorities.
Lead performance marketing across paid search, paid social, programmatic, affiliate, and emerging channels.
Oversee full-funnel media planning, forecasting, and budget management to maximize ROAS and CAC efficiency.
Drive A/B testing and CRO initiatives to improve onsite experience and conversion rates.
Manage external digital agencies for paid media, performance marketing, creative, and lifecycle programs.
Evaluate agency performance, optimize relationships, and shift resources as needed to achieve business goals.
Oversee website merchandising, product launches, promotions, and content updates.
Partner with UX, creative, and product teams to ensure a seamless and engaging end-to-end brand experience.
Analyze customer data and insights to optimize messaging, segmentation, and CRM strategies.
Own eCommerce performance reporting, providing weekly and monthly insights and recommendations to leadership.
Use data to shape strategic decisions, forecast growth, and identify new opportunities.
10+ years of digital, DTC, or eCommerce marketing experience, ideally within CPG, food/beverage, or consumer brands .
Proven success scaling DTC businesses and driving measurable digital growth.
Deep expertise in performance marketing, paid media strategy, and agency management.
Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment with limited structure.
Strong analytical skills with comfort in reporting, KPIs, testing, and data-driven decision making.
Ability to lead with both high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
Comfortable working onsite 4 days/week in the Western Chicago suburbs.
