We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker at HMP Fosse Way, a Category C resettlement prison in Leicester.
HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state of the art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.
Salary This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £33,510 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks. What you'll be doing
As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- You will be working with other members of the team that you are part of, assessing needs of patients and assessing risks accordingly.
- You will provide outstanding evidence based care to a case load of psycho social patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- You will provide a programme of psycho social interventions, along with information and advice on substance misuse related concerns.
- promote safe patient care
- develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications Required - You will have experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary frame work, that includes housing, social care, healthcare, and mental health pathways.
- You’ll also have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
