Job Description

Position: Mail Clerk

Location: Columbia, MD #Onsite

Duration: 12+ months Contract to Hire
Rate: $17/hr

Job Description :

PURPOSE: Collects, sorts, and distributes mail.
Education Level: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 year clerical experience or mail handling
Basic computer proficiency; ability to stand for long periods of time;
Ability to correctly sort and scan large amounts of mail;
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong customer service orientation, Proficient
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems., Proficient
Basic computer skills., Proficient
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal., Proficient
Training will take place in Owings Mills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

30% Ships and receives office supplies and materials.

25% Weighs and prepares shipments.

25% Operates postage meter.

20% Picks-up packages inside and outside the office.
