This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Epic Interface Project Manager to support, coach, and advise our client’s IT Project Team throughout a multi-year Epic implementation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful planning, design, build, testing, and activation of Epic interfaces across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on Epic Bridges experience, strong project management leadership, and the ability to mentor client teams while minimizing travel requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity for long-term growth and a clear career path within the firm.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the client's IT Project Team throughout the full Epic implementation lifecycle.
Guide the team through interface-related components of Design, Workflow Mapping, System Build, Testing, Validation, and Go-Live Readiness .
Provide mentorship, knowledge transfer, and best-practice recommendations based on industry standards and Epic implementation methodology.
Participate in project governance, status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning.
Lead interface-related planning activities including identifying interface needs, mapping workflows, and coordinating with technical teams.
Oversee and advise on Epic Bridges interface design , data mapping, testing cycles (unit, integrated, parallel), and troubleshooting.
Ensure all interface components meet technical and operational requirements for downstream and upstream systems.
Support the coordination of interface cutover and activation activities.
Partner with application analysts, technical integration teams, operational leaders, and third-party vendors.
Facilitate effective communication across functional areas to ensure alignment on dependencies and timelines.
Support client team members as a coach and subject-matter advisor rather than a full-time build resource.
Minimum 3 years hands-on Epic Bridges (Interface) build and support experience.
6+ years of recent experience leading or supporting large-scale Epic implementations.
Strong understanding of healthcare integration standards (HL7, FHIR, interface engines, interoperability patterns).
Proven experience in project management, milestone tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
Ability to work effectively in remote environments with minimal supervision.
Epic certification in Bridges or related Epic interoperability modules.
Experience with interface engines such as Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, CorePoint, Mirth, or similar.
Prior experience mentoring client IT teams or consulting in an advisory capacity.
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
This role is primarily remote, with up to 5% travel , generally limited to one 2–3 day trip every other month for key design sessions, testing workshops, or go-live events.
