Job Description

Our client, a 60-year-old, employee (30+ and growing) owned, consumer product producer/distributor based in Denver, Colorado is currently looking for a Controller .

The Role :

• Will contribute as a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst with a mission to streamline budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
• Will directly supervise one staff member (Accounting Coordinator).

The Responsibilities :

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems
• Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of:
  • Bank covenants
  • ESOP compliance
  • Government reporting
• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
• In conjunction with leadership, establish on a bi-weekly, monthly and annual basis:
  • Financial and operating benchmarks
  • Budgets
  • Program monitoring
  • Reporting standards

The Ideal Candidate :

• BS/BA
• 5-10 years accounting/finance experience in one of the following environments:
  • Inventory/Service accounting
  • Product production
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Transportation
  • Logistical
• Wants to join a highly enthusiastic and collaborative leadership team
• Can work in a small company environment

Compensation :

• $100,000 to $115,000
• Profit sharing
• ESOP
