Bookkeeper | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $52,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
• Manage payroll processing, including deductions, benefits, and tax filings.
• Perform comprehensive bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification of all financial transactions.
• Assist with inventory valuation and the tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Support the calculation and analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and manufacturing overhead.
• Prepare basic financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of inventory valuation, cost accounting, and job costing principles.
• Experience reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts, and preparing financial reports.
• Familiarity with manufacturing specific transactions and expense categorization.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with inventory and cost accounting principles
• Familiarity with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Understanding of manufacturing-specific financial metrics and KPIs
• Experience with job costing or project accounting
