Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes while collaborating with both internal teams and customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in handling billing systems. Responsibilities: - Review contracts to confirm billing accuracy and compliance with established guidelines. - Allocate project codes effectively to ensure materials and expenses are assigned to the correct projects. - Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner. - Verify that all costs, including materials, labor, and fixed expenses, are accurately reflected on invoices. - Respond to customer inquiries regarding their bills and provide clear and thorough explanations. - Utilize Certinia and Excel to manage billing tasks and streamline processes. - Collaborate with internal teams to clarify billing details and resolve discrepancies. - Maintain organized records and documentation of billing activities for future reference. Requirements - Proven experience in billing functions and processes. - Proficiency in preparing and analyzing billing statements. - Familiarity with billing systems, including Certinia. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for managing data and generating reports. - Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoices and records. - Excellent communication skills for addressing customer inquiries and collaborating with colleagues. - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
